Stuart was a great man, sharing his knowledge, ethics, moral perspective on both a business level and universal level. I learned a tremendous amount of useful tax knowledge, not to mention his witty quotes and insights. We will truly miss him and cherish his lessons and memory.

  6. I am completely stunned at this news. Stuart has inspired me, educated me, created a FIRE in me to do the very best I can for my clients. It is with a broken heart that I write this and my condolences to his wife, his children, and his entire family. I want you to know that he has left a lasting mark in my heart and soul with regard to taxes and I will keep his quote alive “Tax Planning is Fire Prevention and Tax Preparation is Arson Investigation”. May he rest in heaven!

  7. Was just looking for his name to ask him a question. I wass o sorry to hear about Stu passing. I only knew him as a teacher – first with the in person IU seminars and later at Western CPE. All I can say – he was the best teacher ever and my favorite. Deepest condolences to his family, friends and co workers. Great man.

  9. Such a loss for the accounting community as a whole. I’ve taken several online classes from Stuart through the years, just watched a recorded one today about the importance of nonprofits and leaving the world a better place. He certainly did that. My condolences to his family.
